Schlumberger’s Finance Committee advises Schlumberger’s Board, Committees, Chief Executive Officer and subsidiaries regarding financial policies and recommends investment guidelines for the Company and its subsidiaries.

On a rotating basis, the Committee reviews certain elements of Schlumberger's capital structure. After reviewing the actual and projected financial situation and capital needs of Schlumberger, the Committee recommends dividend policy to the Board and advises the Board on the issue and repurchase of Schlumberger stock. The Committee meets at least once a year.

The Committee reviews the administration of the employee benefit plans of Schlumberger and the performance of fiduciary responsibilities of the administrators of the plans. The Committee functions as the Finance Committees for pension and profit-sharing trusts as required by U.S. Law and recommends investment guidelines for plan trustees and investment managers, recommends the appointment of investment managers, and periodically reviews the performance of investment managers and trustees.

The Committee may delegate the responsibilities relating to pension and profit-sharing trusts.
